After two months of waiting for the California SuperLotto Plus $11 million winner to come forward, lottery officials announced on Friday that the jackpot had finally been claimed.
The winner, who was named by officials as Daniel Lindsey, presented the winning SuperLotto Plus ticket at the California Lottery headquarters last Friday. The ticket was verified before Lottery officials revealed that Lindsey was the missing $11 million winner.
Lindsey purchased five Quick Pick tickets from the Golden Hill Liquor store located at 2795 B Street, San Diego, including the one containing 5-7-14-44-46 with the Mega number 27, to win the SuperLotto Plus jackpot from the draw on August 10 2013.
Back in August when it was revealed that the Golden Hill Liquor store had sold the winning ticket, store owner Alla Abbo (above) told an NBC 7 San Diego reporter he was thrilled that his store had sold the winning ticket as the store received a commission check for $55,000.
Lindsey wasn’t the only California Lottery winner to come forward last week as two more San Diego residents also came forward on Saturday to claim their $5 million lottery win. The two friends, named as Lody Aqunio and David Dawood, won the prize on the new California Lottery scratch-off game, $5 Million Jackpot, which launched on September 25 2013.
The winning scratch-off was purchased by the two friends at the Arco AM/PM store located on 450 West El Norte Parkway, Escondido after they decided to put $10 each towards the cost of the $20 game. Aquino scratched the ticket and, when he revealed the win, he screamed and called Dawood over to take a look at the winning ticket.
Dawood plans to buy a new home and start a business with his share of the $5 million win while Aquino wants to clear his debts and buy a new home and car with his.
LotteryWorld would like to congratulate these lucky lottery winners and wish each of them all the best for the future!
