Wednesday July 31, 2013 – Are you feeling lucky? Tonight’s Powerball jackpot is worth a huge $235 million after players failed to match Saturday’s winning numbers.
The Powerball numbers drawn on Saturday were 9 – 23 – 40 – 53 – 58 and Powerball 6. Although no players were lucky enough to hit the jackpot four players, from New Jersey, Kansas, North Carolina and South Carolina, matched the five main numbers to each win $1 million.
New Jersey Lottery officials confirmed on July 29, 2013 the winning $1 million ticket from the state was purchased in Bergen County at the Food Mart, 430 Market St., Elmwood Park and, according to Lucke-zone.com, the winning $1 million ticket from North Carolina was purchased at Circle K #5100 on Albemarle Road. Both Kansas Lottery and South Carolina officials have yet to release ticket information on their $1 million winners.
These four $1 million prizes haven’t yet been claimed so if you purchased a ticket for Saturday’s Powerball drawing in any of these states, check your tickets now as you could be a $1 million winner!
The last time the Powerball jackpot was won was last month and this week, Tuesday July 30, 2013, this lucky jackpot winner came forward to claim their Powerball jackpot win at Pennsylvania Lottery headquarters, Harrisburg. The winner, who has been named as Delaware County resident Patricia Chandler, purchased a Powerball ticket for the drawing on Saturday June 22, 2013 from Federal Beer at 1440 Federal Street and matched the five main numbers and Powerball to win $131.5 million. Chandler opted to take the annuity payout which equates to $77,412,904.72 (after taxes) and is now the fourth largest winner in Pennsylvania Lottery history.
